Teresa Durrant's Bio
I’m a Nebraska Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Spa Specialist and have been an Instructor at a local massage therapy college.  I’ve been making my living as a private practice massage therapist for over 14 years.  In addition, I have delivered spa treatments for a number of years at a local salon and day spa and taught hydrotherapy, advanced spa techniques and advanced massage techniques at the Myotherapy Institute.

My practice is located at 4535 Normal Blvd Suite 132 in the Long Professional Center, right next door to the Mosier-Timperley Chiropractic Clinic.  I can be reached at 402-430-3333. There is also a convenient online "BOOK NOW" button that allows you to schedule your appointment online in realtime!

I took my first massage therapy training at a vocational college in California. After graduating in 1995, I initiated the poolside chair massage program at The Claremont Club in Claremont, CA, and began a private table massage practice.  Since my graduation, I have received instruction in structural integration bodywork (Hellerwork), Chair Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, Muscle Release Technique, Esalen Massage, Spa Therapy Techniques and OrthoBionomy.  I attend continuing education workshops and seminars every year to expand and hone my touch therapy skills.  Nebraska requires 1000 hours of instruction to qualify for a license to practice massage therapy—all told I have taken more than 1500 hours of massage, bodywork and spa therapy instruction.

In my practice I focus on pain relief or pain management for clients who are suffering as a result of accident, injury or trauma, repetitive use injury , sports-related injury, rehabilitation after surgery or from fractured bones.  I also get great results working with clients who have overall tension patterns and disease or stress-induced aches, pain and fatigue.

The type of bodywork I use helps to relieve chronic pain, improve overall physical function and increase feelings of well-being.  My clients have found that by keeping regular appointments for therapeutic massage they can more easily manage or eliminate their pain or discomfort and enjoy an improved quality of life.

When someone comes to see me and they are in pain in body, mind or spirit—the remedy shouldn’t feel worse than the symptoms. My treatment philosophy incorporates gentle, frequent change to help you heal, relieve your pain and enjoy an improved quality of life.  And after all, everyBODY deserves a massage!
